Social Media Marketing Mastermind

Use the Power of Social Media to Transform Your Business

Hi,

This is a quick one :)

A couple of weeks ago I came up with an online business concept...

Last week I spent day and night to implement it and now I'm able to launch one new niche service per day (it's a service business). So far, I launched three new services with the help from my business partners in China and Indonesia.

The estimated cost for setting up a new service is about $100-300 for the initial cost and $100 per month plus transaction costs. It's about offering real services provided by real people with real salaries so there are costs, obviously. The goal is that every service will reach a margin of 100-300% per unit within 3 months.

Then one of my friends told me he wanted me to create a niche service for him as well. That's when I started to think that maybe there are other people who are interested in the same kind of concept:

- Brainstorming about a niche service
- Investing $100-$300 to launch it
- Paying $100 / month + transaction costs
- Collecting the (hopefully!) profit with at least 100-300% margin for every sold unit

It's sort of "business in a box"... for a limited type of service of course, not "100% generic".

What do you think about the concept? I don't want to post any links or so, to avoid being a spammer, but I would love your feedback.

Hi Manfred,
It sounds like an excellent idea and concept. People are looking for in-the-box type solutions. Most folks online are doing it part-time and they don't have the time, energy, nor the knowledge birth a new venture. I'd say go for it as long as you can move forward w/o too much expenditures on your part.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks.
Jim

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, I try to think of it as a business where the business owner can really focus on the core service they want to provide/promote. So far I made some preliminary decisions about what's in that "box", currently it contains:

domain name
simple web site with sales page
newsletter
Paypal integration
affiliate program
and more...

Also thinking about adding "customer support & secretary" to handle customers, orders and such... To make it an all-in-one solution :)

Thanks for the feedback, I promise to keep you posted!

Twitter is such a fantastic tool!

A new friend from Singapore, in the MLM business, gave me some great coaching and advice about my business and the sites I've created so far.

Lessons learned:

Paypal dont allow multi-level marketing - this saved me the embarrasment of going out of business before I started :)

It's better to increase the commissions to affiliate AND increase the price for the service instead of making the commission lower then 60-70%

It's better to get it ready to launch and improve over time, instead of trying to create the perfect system...

Thank's to twitter I found many great contacts already, that are interested in either being affiliates or setting up their own service.

I'll keep you posted, hopefully we can witness the sneak preview launch over the next days. Still not having that 4-hour-work-week yet, more like a 20-hour-work-day... :P

Working on it!
